The World of Beer game features two separate games. Both games use the same gaming board, but there are two sets of questions - Barflies and Beer Geeks.
Barflies features 300 questions on beer and brewing that will leave you in stitches! What the hell is an Inferno Pod Ale? Does Chicken Killer Barley Wine really kill chickens? And where do they brew a beer called Vergina? Find out in Barflies - that's if you can drink fast enough to catch up with your mates!
Beer Geeks the second game is one of a kind - the world's first quality knowledge quiz for die-hard beer geeks featuring 600 individual questions on the history and art of brewing, from Belgian classics and British real ale to US and Australian craft brew. If you're still a learner (or just a plain blond), easy-level multiple choice questions allow you to catch up with master brewers and hop-head experts.
On the board you also have featured spaces that add a little spice to the game. They consist of Flip-a-Coin, Flip-a-Mat, Bottoms-up and Beer-4-all.
Flip-a-Coin happens when you land on a space that requests you to Flip-a-Coin. The coin must be flipped so it hits the table and then lands in a glass. If by mistake you flip the coin into another glass than intended, it will still be valid. You have three tries in a row. If you do not succeed you must wait your turn for another three tries. If after three rounds you have not succeeded, you must leave the game.
When you land on Flip-a-Mat space, you must place a beer mat/coaster on the table so that half the mat/coaster protrudes from the table. Flip the mat/coaster into the air with one hand and catch it with the same hand. If you don't have a beer mat/coaster, use a mouse pad or other similar object. You have three tries in a row. If you do not succeed you must wait your turn for another three tries. If after three rounds you have not succeeded, you must leave the game.
There is also the added extra of drinking one regular size beer when you land on the Bottoms-up space, you must drink it all before it's your turn again. And if you land on Beer-4-All, get ready to spend as you will have to dig deep and buy a beer for each player. The game will not continue before the beer has been served.
